This is my favorite image. I was able to capture a clock right on the mannequin’s chest area where the heart is located. It reminds me that we are all running out of time.
I was traveling around the Dallas Metroplex Area and I was looking for interesting compositions for mannequins and I have to say this particular one was challenging. I wanted to incorporate the building across the street with the mannequin to tell a story and make it a surreal photograph. I am happy with the outcome since I had to try different angles to get rid of the highway, the power lines and the trees. I was in a modified squat position and shooting in manual mode and manual focus while executing my breathe control lol.
I have been working on my series, “Mannequins of the Dallas Metroplex,” and I am extremely happy with the progress. I have to say that this is one of the ones that stand out the most and it has been quite an experience doing these series. I can’t wait for the final product. Hope you guys like it!
It’s been a few weeks now, and I have been working on my “Mannequins of the Dallas Metroplex,” series. My inspiration comes from Artists such as Gaia Light, Manuel Alvarez Bravo and Eugene Atget and visions of my own to bring this to life. I have been looking for interesting things around and I really want to bring, “I wish I should have taken a picture of that moment,” to life. I feel that I am in a place where I want to start making mistakes and get better in this craft and be a dream releaser. This is an image that I had to rule out in my series, because it takes a different direction, but I am happy to share this because I love this image. Anyways, I hope everyone enjoys and be safe this weekend from the weather!
